The fellowship is commited to engage members, ministers, and leaders of the Mekane Yesus Lutheran Fellowship in North America in evangelistic outreach, holistic services, and leadership development.

Equip and Empower
​
The fellowship ​aspires to equip and empower lay leaders, pastors, and professional church workers in and through their respective ecclesiastical and judicatory structures.
Strategies:

Provide educational materials for member congregations.

Create groups where spiritual growth occurs through Bible Study, prayer, and faith conversations.

Provide networks and opportunities in which faith communities engender fellowship, partnership, and vision for mission.

Utilize a servant leadership model that empowers, supports, and coaches God’s people toward the unfolding of their giftedness.

Conduct periodic empowerment conferences focusing on leadership development and evangelism.

Organize and Connect Mission Startups
The fellowship​ initiates dynamic missional communities by organizing and cultivating mission startups and facilitating supportive networks.

Strategies:

Encourage and tap into the the skill sets, ideas, leadership abilities, evangelistic outreach experience and passion of the Ethiopian diaspora in different palces in North America by facilitating opportunities and resources for mission start ups and new congregations.

Provide opportunities for training of staff, committee members and other leaders to seek out and develop opportunities for members of various ages and life stages to serve together.

Engage Mekane Yesus veterans in North America in the formation, organization, and leadership of mission startups.

Form and Cultivate Ministries and Ministry Teams
The fellowship​ strives to initiate, cultivate, and sustain ministries through which we engage in mission among the diaspora, the host community, and the world.

Identify and train potential leaders for the formation and cultivation of ministry teams in local chapters of the fellowship.

Establish a resource group that engages in relevant and timely theological, doctrinal and missiological issues and research that supports leaders, ministers, and members of the local chapters.

Organize and strengthen gender and age-based ministries of women, youth, children, young adults, and seniors both at central and regional levels toward empowering respective members and addressing needs and issues related to the specific ages and genders.

Launch, organize, and promote relevant social and human services among the diaspora and the host community.
